The Story of CKS News

Home videos from my childhood show a very tiny version of me pretending to give newscasts to any relative who would listen—complete with construction paper weather maps and all.

I would confidently rattle off my make-believe news stories into whatever hairbrush happened to be my “microphone” that evening. They always ended the same way, with my signature sign off:

“This is Caroline Skinner, reporting for CKS News.”

Today, I am living out that dream as a multimedia journalist in New York City. I am currently working as a freelance journalist while I attend Columbia Business School, and have been published by CNBC, NBC news, and more.
