My name is Caroline K Skinner. I am an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School and a recent graduate of NYU’s graduate school of journalism. Currently, I am freelance reporting in the New York City area and interning at CNBC.

The Story of CKS News

Home videos from my childhood show a very tiny version of me pretending to give newscasts to any relative who would listen—complete with construction paper weather maps and all.

I would confidently rattle off my make-believe news stories into whatever hairbrush happened to be my “microphone” that evening. They always ended the same way, with my signature sign off:

“This is Caroline Skinner, reporting for CKS News.”

Today, I am living out that dream as a multimedia journalist in New York City.

Through my work as a journalist, I have developed a passion for business, tech, and investigative reporting. Having recently graduated with my master’s in journalism from New York University, I am now pursuing my MBA at Columbia University. I am set to graduate in May 2021, and look forward to continuing my career as a business journalist.
